Many of them did not have enough money to buy expensive instruments. They also did not have any place to practise. Hip-Hop was the perfect answer to this problem, as Hip-Hop artists did not need any special instruments and they could practise anywhere. Do you like dancing? Do you think dancing is difficult? Break-dancing( 霹雳舞 ) is a very difficult kind of dancing. People dance to Hip-Hop music. Break-dancers have to be very strong and fast. Break-dancing started in the 1980s at the same time as Hip-Hop. At fast, break-dancing was like fighting. Break-dancers had “ battles ” . Each break-dancer did his best to dance in the contest. Then the people who were watching decided which breakdancer was the best. The winners didn't get any money, but they didn't care. Dancers just wanted to be best break-dancer on their street. Today, people break-dance all over the world. There are professional break-dancing contests. Winners can get a lot of money, and sometimes they are on TV. Just like Hip-Hop, break-dancing is now a big business.
