A train (41) at a small station. A man looked out of the window and saw a woman. She was (42) cakes. People from the train were buying them. The man felt hungry and wanted to buy a cake, (43) the woman was standing far (44) the window. (45) was raining hard, and the man didn’t want to go out of the train.
Suddenly he saw a boy. (46) boy was walking on the platform (月台) not far from him. "Come near, boy!" the man said, "Do you know (47) those cakes cost"
"Five cents for each," the boy answered.
The man gave the boy ten cents and asked him (48) two cakes. "One is for me, and one is for you." the man told him.
