Then he runs home and brought a long rope. 30 It rained very heavy last summer and 31

the fields all round was soon full of water. 33
Lucky, the water didn"t reach any of the 34
houses in our village. And the bursting water 35
from the river carried away our beautiful
wooden bridge, it was more than three 36
hundreds years old and we were very sorry, to 37
lose the oldest thing which we had had for so 38
long time. We"re building a new one, but it 39
will not be the same bridge which we had be 40
