Last year at this time Jessica Anderson was working in Chicago, one of the coldest cities in the United States. Now she is working in a hotel in the Florida Keys, one of the warmest places in the country. It is just a short walk from her office to white sand beaches (海滩) .
"This is like a dream (梦想) for me," Jessica said. "I have a difficult but interesting job, and I live in a great place. Florida is a lot warmer than Chicago. My company, Hotels International, moved me to Orchid Beach Resort last March. I had only a few weeks to get ready for the move, and I had little time to learn my new job. I’m Manager of Guest Services. It’s different from my last job, but I have enjoyed it. I like to stay busy, and there is something to do every minute."
I tell my assistants that we have to remember: our guests come here for the best holiday possible. Our motto (箴言) is: "You can’t stay forever at Orchid Beach Resort, but you might want to!\
Many foreign visitors come to stay in Jessica’s hotel in the Florida Keys.
