The film was shown on May 10 in China. As a live-action film, it is the first time that Pikachu has appeared on screen together with actors. The story encourages teamwork, courage(勇气) and friendship and shows that even the seemingly inexperienced can make a difference. It's a clever kind of world-building and is more than a kids’ movie.
